When you buy a game through Origin, most of the time it will be added directly to your game library. If you need the code for any reason, there are a few ways you can find it.

Find your code in the Origin client

1. Open up the Origin client.
2. Go to My Game Library.
3. Right-click your game.
4. Click Game Properties.

A pop-up with your Product Code will appear. For some games it may say 'Product Code' while others will say 'Serial code' or 'CD key.'

Get your code via email

After you buy your game, you might get a confirmation email with your code in it.

NOTE: This is mostly for older third party games, so you might not get a code in your email. If there’s no code in your confirmation email, check your game library to see if your game is already there.

Redeem promotional codes

Promotional (promo) codes can give you discounts on your Origin purchases. Redeem your promo code during the checkout process.

If you have an eligible promo code:

1. Find the game you want to buy in the Origin Store, either on origin.com or in the Origin client.
2. Click the Pre-order or Buy button.
3. Enter your payment information.
4. Click Proceed to Review Order.
5. On the Review Order page, click Enter Promo Code >.
6. Enter your code and click Submit.

So,

I recently bought a much more powerful laptop that is able to run BC2 more beautifully than I could have ever imagined. After having difficulty with the controls on the keyboard/mouse (I used to play BC2 on Xbox when it was the shit like everyday of the week back in the day) I then proceeded to hook up my wireless adapter and controller, which both work.

I downloaded Pinnacle and the Aldoo profile and began playing, but frustratingly enough even after following all the instructions including the optional ones, every time I would look around with the right stick, my guy would knife, and pressing RB(default) would do nothing. The button mapping configuration said everything was in default config but the right stick still knifed whenever it was moved. I even deleted the button assignment and ran the profile but it still did the same thing.

So, I am in desperate need for a method to use the Xbox controller with BC2. No, I don't care about the 'hurr you'll get destroyed by mouse users if you're using a crapbox controller durr.' especially when I've been using the controller for years.
